Projects rooted in Puerto Rico’s communities
We support local organizations working to protect natural resources, strengthen community economies, expand educational opportunities and improve quality of life throughout Puerto Rico.
Environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
Community-owned enterprises and local economic development.
Education, cultural preservation and community well-being.
Local leaders creating long-term change
These organizations develop locally managed initiatives in rural, urban and coastal communities. Their work addresses environmental conservation, education, women’s development, food security, microenterprise and sustainable tourism.
Cooperative enterprise
Fabideas Coop
Fabideas is a worker-owned cooperative producing educational materials and children’s furniture for schools and homes. It provides a space where children and adults can dream, design and create a more sustainable future.
The cooperative also supports the sustainable economic and social development of the Pasto community in Aibonito.
Agroecology and conservation
YUCAE
YUCAE stands for Yabucoa United for Culture, Self-Management and Ecology. It is a community agroecological project developed by the Yabucoeño Pro Quality of Life Committee.
Its mission is to conserve, protect, educate, guide and promote sustainable development that benefits the entire community through healthy food, environmental stewardship and local job creation.
Connect your group with a community project
We design educational trips, volunteer programs and service-learning experiences based on your group’s interests, schedule and preferred type of community involvement.
